All cosnature® products meet the strict criteria for controlled natural cosmetics and have been awarded the international NATRUE certificate for natural cosmetics.

The internationally recognized British organization tests all finished products according to strict criteria to guarantee that animal ingredients, animal additives and carriers as well as animal testing are avoided without exception. To this end, every ingredient in the recipe is carefully checked.

Few exceptions are unavoidable
Not all animal-based raw materials can be replaced by plant-based raw materials without compromising their effectiveness. For example, two of our lip balms do not yet carry the vegan seal because they contain beeswax. We are already working with our laboratory to convert to a vegan formula so that we can soon switch to a completely vegan product range.

Our high standards for the quality of raw materials are reflected in the use of organic raw materials from controlled organic cultivation or certified wild collection. These organic raw materials are characterized by fair working conditions, fair trade, safeguarding of natural soil fertility and the absence of pesticides.

Each of our products focuses on the respective active concept. We see it as our responsibility to protect the environment. For this reason, we have set ourselves the goal of using resources (raw materials, energy, water and other goods) sparingly and in a targeted manner in all manufacturing processes.

Our folding boxes are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and consist of at least 80% recycled material. The printing inks used are 80% based on renewable raw materials and are mineral oil-free. We also compensate for the CO2 emissions from folding box production by supporting forest protection in the Kibale National Park in Uganda.
